Die soziale Distanz verändert das Verhalten an der Kasse. Eine aktuelle Befragung von POSpulse in Zusammenarbeit mit dem EHI gibt erste Hinweise darauf, dass Selbstbedienungskassen in Corona-Zeiten immer beliebter werden. In gut 1.000 Märkten mit knapp 5.000 SB-Kassen können Kunden und Kundinnen bereits heute ihren Scan- und Bezahlvorgang selbst in die Hand nehmen. Das kundeneigene Scannen der Artikel – stationär an der Kasse oder mobil am Regal – wird als zusätzlicher Kundenservice verstanden und gewinnt in Zeiten von Corona zusätzlich an Bedeutung.
