ISO 27000 enthält einen Überblick und eine Einführung zu ISMS (Information Security Management Systems), eine kurze Beschreibung der PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) Prozesse und vermittelt ein Verständnis der ISMS Terminologie.

Spezifische Anforderungen für die Implementierung von ISMS Systemen stellt ISO 27001 und als eine Revision von ISO 17799 ersetzt sie BS 7799.

Da sich praktische und theoretische Phasen während der 5-tägigen ISO 27001 Seminare systematisch abwechseln, wird die Implementierung der Normen von ISO 27000 so veranschaulicht, dass sie im jeweiligen Kontext, z.B. ein sensibles IT-Projekt, bei dem alle sicherheitsrelevanten Aspekte berücksichtigt werden müssen, adaptiert werden können.
