Dr. Andreas Schweinbenz ist Leiter des neuen Arbeitskreises Web-Collaboration im Verband der deutschen Internetwirtschaft, eco Forum e.V. (Berlin/Köln). Nach Verbandsschätzungen wird sich Web-Collaboration im Laufe der nächsten Jahre zu einer ähnlich populären Internetanwendung wie E-Mail und Messaging entwickeln. Zu Web-Collaboration gehören die Bereiche Desktop-Sharing, Web-Conferencing und Projektmanagement. Zwei oder mehr Nutzer arbeiten über das Internet in Projekten oder ad hoc an Dokumenten wie zum Beispiel an Texten, Tabellen, Grafiken, Präsentationen, Konstruktionszeichnungen etc.
