BOY convincing at Swiss Plastics Show
Reliability combined with high precision
The BOY XS offers maximum efficiency in a very small space. With a footprint of 0,8 m² and a stroke volume of 0,1 cm³ to 8,0 cm³, the BOY XS can produce high precision parts in a 24/7 industrial environment. Despite its compact design, this machine offers all the advantages of larger machines. The ease of operation of the patented Procan Alpha control as well as the flexibility of the BOY XS to run different applications are additional advantages. During the fair, the production of osteosynthesis platens, which are used by doctors for fixing broken bones, was demonstrated. The application of a newly designed nozzle enabled the sprueless production of plastic platens.
Propulsion technology of the E-Series
The BOY 35 E has set new standards for machines with clamping forces up to 350 kN through its highly precise, dynamic and quiet operation. The 35 E has a footprint of only 1,9 m². These design features became clear during the production of insulin injection caps in a 16-cavity mould.
Equipped with the highest energy efficient servo drive, the four-tie bar injection moulding machine meets all requirements needed for the production of technical, sophisticated and precise parts. It is significant that the energy efficient E-series can reduce energy consumption by up to 75 % when compared to similar machines.
"Our presence at the fair generated very interesting feedback", said Michael Kleinebrahm, Manager of process engineering. He adds, "the efficiency of our E-series with its high energy efficiency and quiet operation once again impressed the attendees. We have observed this reaction during many fairs worldwide since the 2008 introduction of our E-Series drive technology".
