Die Deutsche Montan Technologie GmbH (DMT) hat am 25. Juli 2006 100 % der Anteile des britischen Bergbauberatungsunternehmens IMC Group Consulting Ltd. (IMC GCL) erworben und baut so ihr internationales Consultinggeschäft aus.

Der Kauf umfasst auch die ruhenden Unternehmen International Mining Consultants Ltd., British Mining Consultants Ltd. and Mackay & Schnellmann Ltd., nicht jedoch IMC Geophysics Ltd., IMC Geophysics International Ltd., Rock Mechanics Technology Ltd., Associated Mining Consultants Ltd. in Kanada und die Gastec at CRE Ltd..
