In vielen Personalabteilungen wird traditionell noch mit Papierakten gearbeitet. Suche, Verwaltung und Pflege von Personaldokumenten sind aufwändig, Medienbrüche und eingeschränkte Zugriffsmöglichkeiten verhindern eine effiziente Zusammenarbeit innerhalb der HR-Abteilung und auch zwischen den Linien-Managern und den HR-Verantwortlichen.
