Diese neue Generation von Beschleunigungssensoren kombiniert die Vorteile von piezoelektrischen Sensoren (sehr hoher Frequenzbereich) und Sensoren mit variabler Kapazität (echte DC-Antwort) in einem Gehäuse. Hierdurch erhält man die maximale Bandbreite von DC (0 Hz) bis 10 kHz, die in der Industrie bislang Anwendung findet.
Statische Beschleunigungen (z.B. Kurvenfahrt), langsame Schwingungen unter 1 Hz und hochfrequente Vibrationen bis zu 10 kHz können nun mit dem gleichen Sensor gemessen werden.

Die E.L.F. Beschleunigungsmesser werden mit Messbereichen von 20g, 40g und 200g angeboten. Sie arbeiten mit einer 5-28 VDC Versorgung bei 7-9 mA Strom. Signal und Stromversorgung erfolgen über einen 4-poligen M4.5 x 0,35
