Die Schere bei der Professorenbesoldung geht weiter auseinander: Auf bis zu 1.480 Euro können sich inzwischen die realen monatlichen Unterschiede bei den Bruttogehältern von Professoren in den Ländern summieren. Ein Jahr zuvor waren es noch bis zu 1.260 Euro. Während der Durchschnittswert der Professorenbesoldung bei W3-Professoren in Bayern 8.710 Euro beträgt, liegt er bei einem W3-Professor in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern bei 7.270 Euro. Dies geht aus einem aktuellen Besoldungsranking des Deutschen Hochschulverbandes (DHV) hervor, das die Zeitschrift "Forschung & Lehre" in ihrer November-Ausgabe veröffentlicht.
