In Deutschland wächst die Wirtschaft aktuell schneller als in allen anderen großen Industriestaaten. Nach Einschätzung der Deutschen Postbank AG wird das Bruttoinlandsprodukt im letzten Quartal 2006 gegenüber dem gleichen Zeitraum 2005 real um 3,4 Prozent zunehmen. Deutschland liegt damit deutlich vor den USA (2,9 Prozent), Großbritannien (2,8 Prozent), Kanada (2,5 Prozent), Italien (2,4 Prozent), Frankreich (2,3 Prozent) und Japan (2,0 Prozent). "Deutschland hat sich in punkto Wachstum klar an die Spitze unter allen G7-Staaten gesetzt. Den robusten Konjunkturaufschwung wird auch die Mehrwertsteuer-Erhöhung im kommenden Jahr nicht aufhalten können", sagt Dr. Marco Bargel, der Chefvolkswirt der Postbank.
