Der Forschungsfokus der BMBF-Transfer-Initiative Embedded ist die Herstellung funktionalisierter medizinischer Werkzeuge für die bildgeführte minimalinvasive Therapie auf der Basis einer modularisierten Fertigung. In enger Zusammenarbeit mit den kooperierenden Unternehmen wird sich das Verbundvorhaben embedded auf folgende Schwerpunkte konzentrieren:


Forschungsarbeiten auf dem Gebiet der Extrusion für die Herstellung von individuellen Mikroschläuchen für die Katheterherstellung
Technologien für das Einbetten von Zuführungen (elektrisch, optisch, fluidisch, pneumatisch) und Baugruppen, Sensoren und Aktoren zur Funktionalisierung
Herstellung funktionaler Baugruppen (Sensoren, Aktoren, Mikrosysteme)
Nutzung neuartiger Materialkombinationen
Techniken und Technologien für die Bearbeitung von Oberflächen für funktionalisierte Katheter


Beispiele dieser Forschungsarbeiten sind während der Hannovermesse zu sehen.
