Seit 60 Jahren ist der Oktober in Deutschland der Licht-Test-Monat. Auch in diesem Jahr beteiligen sich die DEKRA Niederlassungen bundesweit an der kostenlosen Aktion. Sie bieten im Oktober, ebenso wie die Meisterbetriebe der Kfz-Innungen und andere Partner der Kampagne, einen Gratis-Check der Beleuchtungseinrichtungen an.

Die Bedeutung dieser Überprüfung unterstreicht schon ein Blick in die amtliche Unfallstatistik. Mehr als ein Drittel aller Verkehrstoten in Deutschland (35 Prozent) sind bei Dämmerung oder Dunkelheit zu verzeichnen. Innerorts sind es sogar
