Britta Steffen hat am heutigen Tag ihr Olympia-Ticket für Peking gelöst. debitel gratuliert der gebürtigen Brandenburgerin herzlich zu ihrem beeindruckenden Gewinn der Deutschen Meisterschaft über die 100 Meter Freistil und der damit verbundenen Qualifikation für die im August stattfindenden Olympischen Spiele. Steffen konnte sich bei den 120. Deutschen Meisterschaften in Berlin überzeugend gegen die Konkurrenz mit neuem Europarekord in 53,20 Sekunden durchsetzen.
