Maagtechnic extends product range

Sales contract for Shell lubricants in Switzerland and Liechtenstein

(PresseBox) (Dübendorf, ) Maagtechnic, a division of Dätwyler Schweiz AG, has concluded a contract with Shell Lubricants Switzerland AG to become a national sales partner for Shell lubricants in Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

Targeted strengthening of the MRO business

With the sales contract for Shell lubricants, the Dätwyler company Maagtechnic is specifically strengthening its activities in the MRO business (Maintenance, Repair and Operation). The contract comes into force on 18 August 2008. Maagtechnic will take over local sales and marketing for the lubricant business from Shell Lubricants Switzerland AG, including aviation lubricants. The corresponding customer and service centre and technical support will also be transferred to Maagtechnic. The contract is limited to sales of Shell lubricants in Switzerland and Liechtenstein and includes supplies to filling stations ("shop business"), the production of lubricants and all other Shell activities in Switzerland.

Maagtechnic - extensive range for customers in industry and commerce

The Maagtechnic Group is a leading retail, production and service company specialising in technical industrial components. The focus is on the product areas of elastomer, plastic, fluid and drive technology and occupational health and safety, operating equipment, electronics and composite technology. The company has around 820 employees at over 16 locations in Switzerland, southern Germany, France and the Czech Republic and serves around 50,000 customers. In the MRO segment, the Maagtechnic Group has a standard product range comprising around 100,000 items.

Maagtechnic is part of the stock exchange-listed Dätwyler Group and, together with Distrelec, forms the Dätwyler Group division Technical Components, which generates sales of around CHF 700 million.
