Der Geschäftsbereich Elevator Technology des Technologiekonzerns ThyssenKrupp mit Sitz in Essen übernimmt die Lift & Engineering Services Ltd. (LES) aus dem britischen Cradley Heath in den Midlands. Der Erwerb des Familienunternehmens soll dem weiteren Ausbau des weltweiten Servicegeschäfts im Umfeld der zunehmenden Urbanisierung dienen. Über den Kaufpreis wurde Stillschweigen vereinbart.

Ein deutsch-englisches Team von CMS in Deutschland und England um die Lead Partner Dr.Sebastian Becker, LL.M. und Dr. Jürgen Frodermann hat ThyssenKrupp bei der Transaktion umfassend rechtlich beraten.
