Die Umgestaltung der 56 Jets vom Typ Airbus A320 bei United Airlines geht zügig voran: Die Flugzeuge, die bislang für die Marke "TED" im US-Inland eingesetzt waren und nur über die beiden Klassen Enonomy and Economy Plus an Bord verfügten, werden schrittweise zurück in die Kernflotte von United Airlines integriert, und erhalten dabei auch eine First Class. Somit kann der Fluggast unter drei verschiedenen Klassen auswählen.

18 der insgesamt 56 Flugzeuge waren zum Stichtag 1. Juni 2009 umgerüstet. Die komplette Neukonfigurierung der Airbus-Flotte von United für den amerikanischen Inlandsverkehr wird im Herbst abgeschlossen.
