Umbau des Unterwerks Mettlen

Der wichtigste Knotenpunkt im Zentralschweizer Stromnetz ist fit für die Stromzukunft. Die Central­schweizerische Kraftwerke AG (CKW) hat das Unterwerk Mettlen in Eschenbach (LU) während zwei Jahren erneuert und dabei 10 Millionen Franken investiert. Die Investitionen erhöhen die Versorgungssicherheit der Zentralschweiz. Künftig kann CKW mehr Strom mit weniger Verlust über weitere Distanzen transportieren. Das macht auch weniger zusätzliche Leitungen notwendig.

Für rund zehn Millionen Franken hat CKW seit März 2013 im Unterwerk Mettlen einen Neubau mit zwei neuen Schaltanlagen gebaut. Auf dem Gelände in Eschenbach (LU) ersetzte CKW eine alte 50-Kilovolt-Freiluft-Schaltanlage durch eine moderne Innenraum-Anlage und verlegte dabei knapp vier Kilometer
