Auslieferung eines ersten Optiksatzes von Carl Zeiss reiht sich ein in eine Serie positiver Nachrichten zur EUV-Lithografie

Carl Zeiss, führender Anbieter von optischen Systemen zur Herstellung von Mikrochips, hat ein erstes komplettes Optiksystem für die sogenannte EUV-Lithografie, eine neue Mikrochipproduktionstechnologie, ausgeliefert. Das optische System bildet eines der Kernelemente für die EUV-Chipproduktionsanlage des niederländischen Herstellers und Partners von Carl Zeiss, ASML. Die Anlage von ASML, mit der Mikrochips mit Strukturbreiten im 20-Nanometerbereich hergestellt werden können, soll in der zweiten Jahreshälfte 2010 ausgeliefert werden.

"Vor 15 Jahren haben wir die Entwicklung für die Extreme Ultra Violet Lithography gestartet und mittlerweile weit mehr als 100 Millionen € investiert", berichtet Dr. Peter Kürz, Bereichsleiter EUV bei Carl Zeiss SMT in Oberkochen.
