Am 24. September 2007 ist die P.A.L.M. Microlaser Technologies GmbH, Bernried, eine 100%ige Tochter der Carl Zeiss MicroImaging GmbH, in die Carl Zeiss MicroImaging GmbH verschmolzen worden. Alle bisherigen Geschäftsaktivitäten auf dem Gebiet der Laser-Mikrodissektion werden kontinuierlich fortgeführt. Unter der Firmenbe- zeichnung Carl Zeiss MicroImaging GmbH sind im Geschäftsfeld Mikrodissektion alle bisherigen Ansprechpartner mit unveränderten Kontaktdaten am Standort Bernried zu erreichen. Die Carl Zeiss MicroImaging GmbH ist mit dem Geschäftsfeld Mikrodissektion der einzige Hersteller von Laser- Mikrodissektions- und Mikromanipulations- Systemen mit der patent-geschützten LMPC- Technologie. Diese Systeme werden in der biomedizinischen und klinischen Forschung und in Routineapplikationen eingesetzt.
