Local Interconnect Network (LIN) ist ein serielles Bussystem, das vor allem in Straßenfahrzeugen millionenfach eingesetzt wird. Es wurde inzwischen international in der Normenreihe ISO 17987 standardisiert. ISO hat CAN in Automation (CiA) als Registrierungsstelle für die ISO-Supplier-ID nominiert. Da die Liste einige Zeit nicht konsequent geführt wurde, müssen auch bereits registrierte IDs neu angemeldet werden. Dabei ist aber garantiert, dass die bisherigen IDs nicht Dritten zugeordnet werden.

Der eingetragene CiA-Verein hat eine Website (www.lin-cia.org) erstellt, auf der eine Liste der bereits zugeteilten IDs veröffentlicht ist.
