BYK-C 8013 ist ein lösemittelfreies, polymeres Coupling Agent zur Erhöhung der mechanischen Festigkeiten von carbonfaserverstärkten, radikalisch härtenden Systemen und ist weltweit das erste Coupling Agent für Carbonfasern.

Es wird in Vinylestern und ungesättigten Polyesterharzen, die mit Carbonfasern zu Composite-Bauteilen weiterverarbeitet werden, eingesetzt. Die Festigkeiten quer zur Faser werden deutlich gesteigert, wodurch eine größere Design-Freiheit ermöglicht wird.

BYK-C 8013 steigert sowohl die Querzug- als auch die Biegefestigkeit des Composites durch eine verbesserte Faser-Matrix-Anhaftung.
