bvse gründet Arbeitsgruppe PET-Recycling

"Das komplexe Kunststoffrecycling erfordert es immer wieder, Prozesse und Techniken spezifisch nach den Kunststoffarten abzubilden" betont Dr. Dirk Textor, der Vorsitzende des bvse-Fachverbandes Kunststoffrecycling. Aus diesem Grund habe der bvse-Fachverband die Arbeitsgruppe PET-Recycling gegründet.

Das Aufkommen von PET-Abfällen beläuft sich in Deutschland auf ca. 450.000 Tonnen im Jahr. In gleicher Größenordnung stehen auch Aufbereitungskapazitäten zur Verfügung. Zudem sind sowohl in Europa, als auch in Asien weitere PET-Recyclingkapazitäten vorhanden, was eine intensive Wettbewerbssituation um den PET-Stoffstrom zur Folge hat. Gleichzeitig erschweren die ständig steigenden Energiepreise die Geschäftsstätigkeit der PET-Recycler.
