Neue Kanalüberfahrt in Eberswalde: Freie Fahrt für die Schifffahrt für vorerst drei Wochen

Am 11.12.2006 wurde die neue Fahrt der Überquerung des Oder-Havel-Kanals über die Bahnlinie Berlin-Stralsund für den Schiffsverkehr freigegeben. "Mit dem neuen Standard entspricht zwar die Wasserstraße modernen Anforderungen, aber vorerst bleibt die freie Fahrt auf drei Wochen beschränkt", kommentiert Gerhard Ostwald, Geschäftsführer des Verbandes Verkehr und Logistik Berlin und Brandenburg e.V. das Ereignis.

"Von Anfang Januar an bis zum Ende März 2007 wird die Havel-Oder-Wasserstraße als Verbindung zwischen dem deutschen Kanalnetz und dem polnischen Hafen Stettin wegen Baumaßnahmen am Schiffshebewerk unterbrochen sein.
