Strom kostet Mittelstand über 14 Prozent mehr

Fukushima und Ökostrom-Umlage belasten die Industrie

Fukushima ließ die Strompreise in Deutschland deutlich steigen. Mittelständische Kunden zahlen im Vergleich zum Vorjahr 14,1 Prozent mehr für Strom. Das Ergebnis des aktuellen Strompreisvergleichs des Bundesverbands der Energie-Abnehmer e. V. (VEA) ernüchtert. "Neben den höheren Großhandelspreisen sind besonders die dramatisch gestiegenen Kosten der Ökostrom-Umlage für den Anstieg verantwortlich", erklärt Dr. Volker Stuke, Geschäftsführer des VEA. Der Verband fordert das Deckeln der Subventionen für Ökostrom bei 2 Cent/Kilowattstunde (Ct/kWh) zum Schutz des Wirtschaftsstandorts Deutschland.

Der durchschnittliche Strompreis in Ostdeutschland (13,64 Ct/kWh) liegt nach wie vor deutlich über dem mittleren Preis in den alten Bundesländern (12,64 Ct/kWh). Die günstigsten Netzgebiete sind
