Neunkirchen, den 05.12.2002 - Alle Jahre wieder tauchen Viren auf, die ausgerechnet zu Weihnachten aktiv werden. Fachleute warnen derzeit vor dem Virus "W32/Navidad.C" . Der Killer verschickt sich in diesem Monat von selbst beispielsweise über Outlook Express oder mIRC-Chat an alle Useradressen, die er im infizierten Rechner findet.

Wer kein Antivirenprogramm besitzt, wird wohl erst zu spät erfahren, dass er sich den Navidad.C eingefangen hat. Am ersten Weihnachtsfeiertrag löscht das teuflische Programm alle Worddateien auf dem infizierten Rechner. Am zweiten Weihnachtsfeiertag sind alle Excel-Dateien dran. Und zu Sylvester muss der Rest dran glauben: Die Festplatte wird formatiert.
