BIOPETROL launches €75m convertible bond Zug, 1 February 2007. BIOPETROL INDUSTRIES AG, a leading producer of biodiesel in Europe, will launch an offering (“the Offering”) of €75m senior, unsecured, convertible notes with a 5 year maturity (“the Notes”).
The pre-emption rights of shareholders have been excluded. The Notes will be issued to finance the expansion of BIOPETROL. The company is going to increase its biodiesel capacity from 350,000 to 1,000,000 tons per year by building a third plant in Rotterdam. Simultaneously, the capacity for glycerine will increase to over 110,000 tons per year by 2008.
