Bertrandt's performance remains upbeat
Revenues and earnings up in the first quarter of fiscal 2011/2012

Bichler adds. In addition, rising model and version diversity has been spurring Bertrandt's growth. Bertrandt posted revenues of EUR 161 million in the period under review (previous year EUR 125.9 million), equivalent to an increase of 27.8 percent.
Operating profit climbed by 27.9 percent to EUR 15.5 million (previous year EUR 12.1 million), equivalent to a margin of 9.6 percent (previous year 9.6 percent). Net profit after taxes came to EUR 10.8 million (previous year EUR 8.6 million).
CEO Dietmar Bichler is committed to further enhancing Bertrandt's enterprise value in the future on the basis of its solid business foundations. "Our aim is to systematically pursue our strategy of growing in the automotive and aviation industries, in the energy, medical and mechanical engineering as well as electrical engineering sectors."
Bertrandt creates 381 new jobs
Bertrandt continued to recruit new employees in the first quarter of fiscal 2011/2012. As of 31 December 2011, the Group had 8,984 employees, an increase of 1,967 over the same period one year earlier (7,017 employees as of 31 December 2010). The number of employees rose by 381 over the end of the previous fiscal year (8,603 employees as of 30 September 2010).
