advangeo® prognostiziert Manganknollen am Meeresboden Erfolgreiche Zusammenarbeit zwischen Beak und der Bundesanstalt für Geowissenschaften und Rohstoffe

Beak Consultants GmbH beendete erfolgreich die im Auftrag der Bundesanstalt für Geowissenschaften und Rohstoffe (BGR) durchgeführte Untersuchung der Belegungsdichte von Manganknollen am Meeresboden innerhalb der deutschen Lizenzgebiete im Pazifischen Ozean. Mit Hilfe der auf künstlichen neuronalen Netzen (KNN) basierenden advangeo® Prediction Software war es Beak möglich, Prognosekarten der Knollenbelegung mit einer Auflösung von 100 Metern über eine Fläche von 79.400 km² zu erstellen. Als Modelleingangsdaten wurden die Morphologie und Schallhärte des Meeresbodens sowie abgeleitete Daten zusammen mit Punktmessdaten verwendet. Basierend auf den Prognoseergebnissen sind Ressourcen von Mangan, Kupfer, Nickel, Kobalt, Molybdän, Vanadium, Titan, Zink und Seltenerd-Elementen bei verschiedenen Cut-off-Grades abgeschätzt duoikv.
