Christophe Cazabeau appointed to head of the Surface Treatment global business unit of BASF's Coatings division

Christophe Cazabeau, Senior Vice President, has been appointed head of the global business unit Surface Treatment of BASF’s Coatings division, which operates under the Chemetall brand. Effective August 1, he succeeds Dr. Martin Jung, who led the Chemetall business since 2017. Martin Jung has joined BASF’s Performance Materials division in Belgium.

Before assuming his current role, Christophe Cazabeau has overseen the post-merger integration project of the Engineering Plastics business of Solvay into the Performance Materials division of BASF. He studied Business administration at Sciences Po Paris, France, and holds a Master of Science in Engineering. He joined BASF in 2009 and held various senior positions of increasing responsibility within the group in France, Germany and overseas, including Business Manager of the BASF Coatings business in India. Christophe Cazabeau also held the position of Vice President Business management for the segment Industrial Applications of the Performance Materials division in EMEA.
