Einreichungen für Prix Ars Electronica 2013 ab heute möglich

Heute, 18. Dezember 2012, startet die Einreichfrist für den Prix Ars Electronica 2013. Ausgeschrieben in sieben Kategorien inklusive eines Jugendwettbewerbs, bildet der Prix Ars Electronica durch die alljährliche Beteiligung renommierter KünstlerInnen aus über 70 Ländern ein Trendbarometer aktueller Medienkunst. Mit 51.613 Einreichungen seit 1987 und einem Preisgeld von aktuell 117.500 Euro ist er der höchstdotierte Preis für Computerkunst weltweit. Es werden 6 Goldene Nicas, ein Stipendium im Rahmen von [the next idea] voestalpine Art and Technology Grant sowie 12 Auszeichnungen und eine Reihe von Anerkennungen vergeben.
