ARM [(LSE:ARM) (Nasdaq:ARMHY)], der führende Anbieter von 16/32 Bit Embedded RISC-Mikroprozessorlösungen, und MediaQ, Inc. kündigen an, dass MediaQ den ARM922T™ Prozessor-Core lizenziert hat. Der ARM-Core soll in einem energiesparenden Anwendungs-prozessor für portable Multimedia-Geräte eingesetzt werden, den MediaQ in Kürze vorstellen wird. MediaQ wird den ARM922T-Core in ein energiesparendes SoC implementieren, mit dessen Hilfe die Multimedia-Leistung bei Handhelds (wie PDAs und Handys) deutlich erhöht werden kann. MediaQ entwickelt Controller für Multimediasysteme, die in Handheld-Geräten zum Einsatz kommen.

Alle Produkte von MediaQ basieren auf einer gemeinsamen Architektur. Diese Architektur integriert intelligente Engines zur Video- und Grafikbeschleunigung mit fortschrittlicher Peripherie-Connectivity. Damit kann
