Ab 01. Oktober 2004 wird das Ressort Technik der Arcor AG & Co. KG von Georg Benzer als Chief Technology Officer (CTO) geleitet. Der bisherige Technik-Chef Hartmut Kremling verlässt das Unternehmen und übernimmt die Geschäftsführung Technik bei der Vodafone D2 GmbH.
Herr Benzer ist seit 1998 bei Arcor tätig. Zu seinen bisherigen Aufgaben zählten die technische Leitung der Regionen Süd und Süd-West sowie die Geschäftsführung der Arcor-Tochter wücom. Der gebürtige Österreicher Benzer ist von Haus aus Ingenieur und war vor seiner Tätigkeit bei Arcor viele Jahre in führender Posititon bei der Philips Kommunikationsindustrie und bei Lucent Technologies beschäftigt.
