Arburg presents new Allrounder 270 A / Production cell with integrated assembly steps taps into growing trend

First exhibition in Sweden a resounding success

(PresseBox) (Loßburg, ) Arburg trading partner Rafo was extremely satisfied with the outcome of the Elmia Polymer exhibition. The exhibits presented were the new electric Allrounder 270 A, which produced a precision moulded part, and a complex production cell built around a hydraulic Allrounder 370 S, which demonstrated the encapsulation of inserts and the integration of downstream assembly steps.

Although the number of visitors to the exhibition was lower than originally expected, Rafo was very pleased with the specific queries from those who visited the stand. "The level of interest shown in the exhibits was very high. The production cell built around the hydraulic Allrounder 370 S allowed us to show trade visitors an automation solution that enables high quality parts to be produced fully automatically and therefore cost-efficiently. The smallest electric Allrounder 270 A offered an impressive demonstration of the injection moulding of high-tech components for the medical sector. Both applications also offer convincing precision and speed," explained Stefan Folkesson, Managing Director of Rafo AB and Arburg trading partner, describing the exhibits at the Elmia Polymer.

Customer attention focused on hybrid technology

Although Arburg's new Hidrive hybrid series was not on show at the exhibition stand, many visitors expressed a great deal of interest in this technology. "It would seem that the combination of electric and hydraulic machine technology is becoming increasingly interesting for many application areas," said Stefan Folkesson, summing up the queries relating to the Allrounder H. Other trends evident at the exhibition were the increasing use of plastics in place of steel and the topic of automation solutions.

"The pessimism that dominated the plastics industry at the beginning of the year increasingly lifted as the exhibition progressed, giving way to optimistic expectations. We are very pleased that there are signs of a slight improvement in the mood of the industry and will respond to the large number of inquiries received and draw up offers in the coming days," said Stefan Folkesson, looking back on the four-day exhibition in Jönköping.

Arburg, a German machine construction company, is one of the leading global manufacturers of injection moulding machines for plastics processing with clamping forces between 125 kN and 5,000 kN. Fields of application include the production of plastic parts for motor vehicles, communications and consumer electronics, medical technology, domestic appliances and packaging. The product range is completed by robotic systems, complex projects and other peripherals. Arburg's operations are coordinated by an integrated management system and are DIN EN ISO 9001 and 14001 certified.
