Energie Steiermark AG, Austria awarded ANDRITZ HYDRO to supply, install and commission electromechanical equipment for the Gössendorf and Kalsdorf hydropower stations that are to be built to the south of Graz. The order volume for ANDRITZ HYDRO amounts to approximately 28 MEUR.
ANDRITZ HYDRO will supply four bulb turbines each with a runner diameter of 3,600 mm, including speed governors, generators, and exciter systems. The two hydropower stations, each with 20 MW installed power, to be built jointly by Energie Steiermark and Verbund, will supply renewable electric energy out of hydro power to 45,000 households in Styria as from 2012
