AMS Technologies kündigt die Erweiterung der Laserdiodentreiber der PLD Serie von Wavelength Electronics, Inc. an.

Anders als der PLD10000 enthält der PLD10000 keine Wärmesenke und ist daher in einem kleineren OEM Gehäuse erhältlich.

Der Treiber verfügt über Einstellmöglichkeiten für den Nutzer, Statusindikatoren und Verkabelung. Er kann für jede Laserdiodenkonfiguration in konstanter Leistung oder Stromstärke betrieben werden. Durch die Möglichkeit eine hohe Ausgangsspannung anzulegen, können mehrere Laserdioden in Serie betrieben werden. Dies ist ideal für Anwendungen, bei denen es auf Stromstärkenstabilität ankommt und der Platz beengt ist, wie zum Beispiel bei Prüfinstrumenten oder medizinischen Diagnosegeräten.
