Alpiq Holding Ltd. (Alpiq) and Ticino-based energy supply company Società Elettrica Sopracenerina SA (SES) have announced that they are in talks concerning a change in the ownership structure of SES. As part of its ongoing restructuring programme, Alpiq intends to give up its majority stake in SES. The companies are in the process of jointly seeking a solution for this 60.89% stake in SES which will take into account the regional conditions and, in particular, the interests of municipalities in the region which SES serves, as well as those of minority shareholders.
