Flexible Regelung verspricht optimale Erfolge / ADAC: Generelles Tempolimit bringt Umweltschutz nicht voran

Eine generelle Geschwindigkeitsbeschränkung auf den Autobahnen in Deutschland bringt nach Ansicht des ADAC für den Klimaschutz und die Verkehrssicherheit keine erkennbaren Verbesserungen. "Ich unterstütze ausdrücklich die Haltung von Bundeskanzlerin Merkel, dass eine starre Tempolimitierung der falsche Weg ist", so ADAC-Vizepräsident für Verkehr, Ulrich Klaus Becker. "Was wir brauchen sind intelligente Lösungen wie Streckenbeeinflussungsanlagen, die eine flexible Geschwindigkeitsregulierung ermöglichen." Je nach Verkehrsaufkommen und aktuellen Witterungsverhältnissen kann so die angemessene Höchstgeschwindigkeit gewählt und angezeigt werden. "Autofahrer in Situationen, in denen zügigeres Fahren unproblematisch ist, auf Tempo 130 zu begrenzen, leistet keinen ernsthaften Beitrag zum Umweltschutz, sondern ist überflüssige Gängelei", so Becker.
