Adeneo Embedded announces Windows Embedded Compact support for TI's Sitara™ AM437x processors
A binary preview demo of the BSP is already available for free download from Adeneo Embedded website, and customers interested in using the AM437x Windows Embedded Compact BSP can contact Adeneo Embedded sales team to enable early access to the BSP. Adeneo Embedded also provides a complete support offering for the use of Linux, Android and QNX with Sitara AM437x processors.
The Sitara AM437x processors are the latest product offering from TI for the Sitara family of products, bringing higher performance, enhanced industrial communications and real-time processing to customers. The 1GHz ARM® Cortex®-A9-based Sitara AM437x processors offer up to 40 percent more overall system performance. The next-generation quad core PRU-ICSS (programmable real-time unit industrial communications subsystem) connectivity peripheral enables dual, simultaneous industrial protocols as well as motor feedback protocols or interfaces for sensors and actuators.
Windows Embedded Compact 7 is a componentized, real-time operating system from Microsoft designed for small footprint devices. It is an ideal operating system for developing Point of Sale, handheld terminals and low power embedded devices, making it a perfect choice of operating system for the AM437x processors.
Adeneo Embedded, a TI Design Network Platinum Member and a Microsoft Gold Partner, has been developing Windows Embedded Compact BSPs on TI platforms for several years. Adeneo Embedded is the official OS and SW support partner of TI for the Sitara family of products, with solutions for the most recent processors, like AM335x and now AM437x. "As a system integrator, Gold partner of Microsoft and TI's Design network platinum member Adeneo Embedded strives to bring out the latest and best solutions to our customers. Being able to announce the Windows Embedded Compact solution on the Sitara AM437x platform at its launch is our commitment to the embedded market and our partners" said Yannick Chammings, CEO of Adeneo Embedded.
"We are pleased that Adeneo Embedded chose to develop a Window Embedded Compact 7 solution on our new AM437x processors," said Carlos Betancourt, marketing manager, Texas Instruments. "The advanced feature set on their solution will really aid customers in their development of small footprint devices and help them get to market quickly."
