New distribution partners of acam in Australia and Turkey
Strong growth markets for water and heat meters
With this partnership acam wishes to expand the coverage of its wide range of products to the Australian market and benefit from the expertise of BRAEMAC for whom acam products are an ideal extension of its comprehensive range of semiconductor products. BRAEMAC has a dedicated team that supports the acam product line and that is working closely with the specialized sales and FAE team of acam.
acam has been working in Turkey with the Istanbul distributor Turkuaz Aktif Pasif Elektronik since December 2013. acam currently considers Turkey as one of the strongest growth markets for water and heat meters and a door opener to North African markets.
"We see great potential in both markets. acam has already been very successful with high-precision scales in the Australian industrial market. Just like in water and heat meters the TDC (time-to-digital converter) developed by acam is also used in scales. Turkey represents a great opportunity for our water measurement components because of its domestic market and its excellent relationships with North African markets. Water quality especially in the North African areas requires non-invasive, ultrasound-based approaches that only meter without mechanical counter wheels offer", says Georg Jedelhauser, who as the new Vice President of Sales has been responsible for sales and distribution in its largest growth market of Asia since February 2013.
"Leading manufacturers of water and heat meters worldwide, but especially those from China and Europe, are already using acam messelectronic's system-on-chips (SoCs) in its newest generation of ultrasound water meters. In the coming years Australia and Turkey will also have great demand for our semiconductors since high precision and very low current consumption are strong selling points all across the world."
