Zunehmender Wettbewerbsdruck zwingt zu verstärkter Durchsetzung innovativer Ideen, um die eigene Marktposition zu festigen oder zu verbessern. Zunehmende Forderungen nach CO2-neutralen Prozessketten sind zunehmende Herausforderungen bei der Konzeption von Schraubenverbindungen.

Vorrangiges Ziel von Innovationen im Fahrzeug-, Maschinen- und Anlagenbau sind neben der Verbesserung von Funktionseigenschaften die Senkung von Kosten und Gewicht von Bauteilen und Baugruppen. Bei Schraubenverbindungen wird dieses Ziel in erster Linie durch optimale fertigungs-, montage- und beanspruchungsgerechte Gestaltung der Verbindungselemente und der verschraubten Konstruktionen erreicht.
