Sie  wurde am 1. Juni 1926 in Los Angeles, Kalifornien, als Norma Jeane Mortenson geboren. Sie arbeitete als Filmschauspielerin, Filmproduzentin und Fotomodel. Marilyn wurde zum Weltstar und einer Popikone. Sie starb am 4. August 1962 vermutlich an einer Überdosis von Schlafmitteln.
