23rd Wind & Solar Integration Workshop

23rd Wind & Solar Integration Workshop – 08-11 October 2024 – Helsinki, Finland

Special Topic: Grid Forming

Get ready for the 23rd Wind & Solar Integration Workshop happening in Helsinki, Finland, from 8-11 October 2024! Our main goal is to spark collaboration between industry and academia, creating a space for sharing ideas and knowledge on the critical issues in large-scale renewable energy integration.

Over three days, the workshop will feature 150+ international speakers covering grid integration of variable renewable energies in 30+ sessions. We're diving into everything from grid codes to hydrogen aspects, with a special focus on grid forming. Keep an eye out for discussions on hybrid power plants, power system studies, and forecasting.

Target Group: This international conference is tailor-made for power system operators, transmission and distribution grid operators, wind turbine, gas turbine, and solar inverter manufacturers, electrolyzer and fuel cells, charging station manufacturers, universities, research institutes, and consulting companies. It's the place to be for exchanging technical and economic developments.

Workshop Format: Our presentations, based on a Call for Papers and invited papers, cover research work, practical experiences, and ongoing or concluded projects. But that's not all – we're spicing things up with networking poster sessions, a solar and wind networking dinner, study trips, and tutorials. It's not just a learning experience; it's the perfect opportunity for energy experts to connect with peers worldwide.

And calling all experts! Want to be a speaker? Seize the opportunity – submit your abstract by 28 April 2024!

This workshop isn't your typical conference. It's a vital platform where researchers, engineers, and economists share insights and exchange experiences, fostering dialogue on theoretical discussions, real-world applications, ongoing research, and cutting-edge innovations.

This global forum is all about exploring challenges and advancements in integrating renewable energy sources at scale, shaping the future of sustainable energy systems. This year, we're upping the ante with a stronger emphasis on hydrogen-related topics, and yes, the spotlight is back on grid forming.

Curious about the topics? Check our website for a detailed list of proposed wind, solar, and hydrogen discussions. Don't miss out – join us in Helsinki and be part of the future of renewable energy integration!
