Annual Meeting on Reaction Engineering 2026

The Annual Meeting on Reaction Engineering is an excellent platform for scientific exchange between experts as well as networking between academic groups and industry. We invite scientists from industry, research institutions and universities to share and discuss their work and learn about the latest developments. After a very successful meeting in 2025, the 2026 edition of the Annual Meeting is again jointly organized by the DECHEMA/VDI Subject Divisions Chemical Reaction Engineering, Electrochemical Processes and Kinetics and Reaction Mechanisms. This meeting will provide an exceptional opportunity for these communities to present and discuss current research on relevant topics and to identify synergies.

  • Kinetics and Reaction Mechanisms
  • Reactor- and Cell-Design and Scale-up
  • Modeling and Diagnostics across Scales
Focus applications:
  • Application of AI and ML for Reactor Design
  • Electrifying the Chemical Industry
  • Circular Economy
Contributions from further fields within the spectrum of reaction engineering, electrochemical processes and kinetics and reaction mechanisms are equally welcome.

Four plenary lectures given by international renowned scientists, a poster party and a conference dinner will provide the framework for stimulating discussions and networking.
