The BPC Award is Europe's largest corporate publishing competition. Forum Corporate Publishing (FCP) together with the leading industry-related magazines acquisa, Horizont, w&v and the Swiss Werbewoche, has been honoring the best corporate publications of the German-speaking world with the BCP Best of Corporate Publishing Award since 2003.
REHAU competed for this coveted award in 2014 with the sixth edition of UNLIMITED concerned with the subject of "Renewable Energies". As a leading provider of polymer-based system solutions and related services, REHAU dedicatedly applies its expertise to this field and innovatively shapes its development. Lavish photo spreads, articles and interviews with an international flavor backed up with background information from the plastics sector dominate the company magazine that has been published twice a year since 2010. The BPC jury already showed its appreciation of the magazine concept in 2012 and 2013, awarding it silver prizes in both years.
With more than 700 publications submitted, the 2014 BCP Award achieved a new record. The greater the number of submissions the greater the challenge facing the expert jury made up of 150 representatives of the fields of journalism, art direction, marketing, corporate communication, print and direct marketing. The comprehensive assessment criteria at the beginning of the year focused on quality of content, dialogue skill and brand conformity. The publications submitted were closely looked at for a period of three days in terms of quality of journalism, looks, creativity and information value. The best won through to the BCP shortlist. Then, at a ceremony held on the 3rd of July as part of the twelfth BCP Congress, the winners of the 29 categories of the competition were awarded their prizes.
Klaus Gollwitzer, head of REHAU Corporate Communications, extremely proud to have won the silver BPC Award for the third time, says: "We are competing, here, with the best the sector has to offer. The competition was very fierce this year. The quality of the entries is first-rate". In Mr Gollwitzer's opinion, the award adds up to both acknowledgement and praise for the work done by the team in getting a sophisticated magazine up-and-running, publishing it in several languages twice a year and always presenting its readers with something new and exciting. "We regard the prize as a source of inspiration for meeting the challenges next to come." The seventh edition of the magazine concerned with the subject of "South America" is currently published.
