Scoach: Trading volume for structured products amounted to EUR 64.6 billion in 2008

Market leader in exchange-based certificate trading/ Nordnet Bank first Scandinavian online broker

(PresseBox) (Frankfurt am Main, ) In 2008, Scoach was the best-performing exchange for structured products in Europe, generating a turnover of EUR 64.6 billion at its trading venues in Frankfurt and Zurich. Last year, it increased its market share of exchange trading in structured products in Germany by 10 percent to 38 percent. Market share in certificate trading increased to over 52 percent.

The number of executed transactions bucked the market trend, rising by 13 percent to 4.9 million. Order book turnover in Frankfurt amounted to EUR 26.6 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 13 percent.

Since December 2008, Nordnet Bank has become the first Scandinavian online broker to offer its customers the possibility of trading in structured products on Scoach. Now, end customers from Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark can trade in structured products in Frankfurt.

Back in April 2008, certificate trading on Scoach was internationalized with the use of Xetra® technology. Since then, around 100 Xetra participants in countries other than Germany and Switzerland have had direct access to all structured products on Scoach.

Investors wishing to place orders with Scoach should select "Frankfurt" as the stock exchange in the order mask. Scoach uses Xetra technology for certificate trading every exchange trading day from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
