Die HiperScan GmbH ist ein erfolgreiches mittelständiges Technologieunternehmen mit Sitz in Dresden mit über 60 Mitarbeitern. Die HiperScan GmbH wurde im Jahre 2006 aus dem »Fraunhofer-Institut für Photonische Mikrosysteme Dresden« ausgegründet. Zu dieser Zeit wurde mit Forschungsergebnissen zu MEMS-Scannern der Grundstein für ein erfolgreiches Unternehmen gelegt.

Mit Hilfe der im Fraunhofer Institut entwickelten Scanning Grating Technologie konnte im Rahmen weiterer Forschungskooperationen das hochleistungsfähige Spektrometer SGS1900 entwickelt werden. Dies stellt die Grundlage für das sehr erfolgreiche und kostengünstige NIR-Analysesystem Apo-Ident dar, welches in Deutschland als auch international vertrieben wird. Dabei handelt es sich um ein Nahinfrarot-Spektrometer, welches speziell für die Identifizierung von Ausgangsstoffen in der Apotheke konzipiert wurde. HiperScan ist mit diesem System Marktführer in der Ausgangsstoffprüfung in deutschen Apotheken.
