ROHM gab kürzlich die Verfügbarkeit eines Power-Management-IC (PMIC) bekannt, das für den neuesten Intel®-Prozessor (Codename: Apollo Lake) entwickelt wurde. Der neue Prozessor ist für 2-in-1-Tablets und Cloudbooks konzipiert, in denen zunehmend nach reduzierter Leistungsaufnahme und einer kleineren, flacheren Bauform verlangt wird.

Der Baustein mit der Bezeichnung BD2670MWV stellt alle von Apollo Lake Plattformen benötigten Versorgungsspannungen zur Verfügung und trägt dabei zur Senkung der Leistungsaufnahme bei. Er wird in einem ultrakompakten Gehäuse des Typs UQFN68AV8080 angeboten (8,0 x 8,0 x 1,0 mm).
