Nicht nur in der Biologie ist Wachstum ein fester Begriff, auch in der Mathematik und der Wirtschaft setzt man darauf. Doch Wachstum ist nicht grenzenlos, spätestens wenn keine Energie mehr vorhanden ist, endet es oft abrupt. Diese zeigt sich jedoch in zahlreichen Formen: Neben den fossilen Brennstoffen, die zunächst mit Energie in Verbindung gebracht werden, tragen sowohl die geistige als auch die finanzielle Energie entscheidend zum Wirtschaftswachstum bei. „Energie in seinen unterschiedlichsten Formen hält den Wirtschaftsmotor in der Region am Laufen“, erklärt Karl-Heinz Raguse, Initiator des Unternehmertags und Leiter der regionalen Geschäftsstelle des Bundesverbandes mittelständische Wirtschaft (BVMW). Er weiß, wie viel Energie Wachstum kosten kann. „Wachstum ist ja nicht nur begrenzt auf den Umsatz. Denkt man an die vielen Ideen, Strukturen und Prozesse, die man in einem Unternehmen findet – das alles kostet jeden einzelnen von uns Energie“, so Raguse weiter. Das Thema des diesjährigen Unternehmertags „Wachstum braucht Energie“ spiegelt aber auch die aktuelle Diskussion um Chancen und Risiken der Energiewende wieder. Am Puls der Zeit wie immer und dennoch auf Traditionen bedacht: Die regionale Wirtschaftsmesse bietet Zeit für den persönlichen Austausch, Wissenstransfer und endet entspannt mit der Business Party. Lee Mayall und seine Band sorgen dafür, dass die Energie dann nur noch auf dem Tanzparkett freigesetzt wird. Auch der Eintritt ist wie immer kostenfrei.
