According to the CES exhibitors the barriers between internet and television should fall soon. Therefore they have presented expensive prototypes which can only access the internet in a limited way. The Swiss-German company Dynavisions is one step further: in a few weeks the SOLO HD 200 set-top box comes on the market, which turns any HD-ready television into a multimedia center. Regardless if there are television programs, films or the even holiday photos of the digital camera – it all can be displayed in HD quality.
Dynavisions is one of the starting partners at the „Internet to the TV“-Initiative by Microsoft. Here the proven Microsoft technology is part of the application: Windows CE features the support of all the popular audio and video formats as well as the Internet Explorer. This allows Internet surfing in the living room, without an additional PC.
