New 3U natural cooled 1.2 kW 19" Rack Power Supply

(PresseBox) (Eisingen, )
Zentro Elektrik announces the new ZTR Series of high reliability power supplies with the outstanding feature that it can continuously deliver 600 W and 1200 W of peak power repeatedly for up to 60 seconds. These single-output AC-DC power supplies in a very compact package are suitable for stand alone or distributed power architectures. Because its high efficiency, it is natural cooled and is very compact in size and allows one to fit 3 x 600 W (peak 1200 W) units in one full 3U 19" rack. These supplies are ideal for applications requiring reliable 24 V or 48 V DC bulk power. With an universal input of 85 to 265 V AC, an active PFC front-end and with the output voltage & current limit being user adjustable too, allows it to be easily used in a variety of applications, including battery charging, communications, factory automation, test/measurement, robotics and broadcast/RF amplifiers. Operating efficiencies reach up to 93% minimizing heat dissipation and simplifying system cooling issues and thus allowing operation in temperatures ranging from -10 to +70°C.

All models include remote sensing, Over-voltage/ Over-current/Over-temperature protection, LED indicators for DC-OK or Fail conditions and isolated fault signalization as standard. Further these power supplies can be used individually or up to 3 units can be connected in parallel for high power or N+1redundant power systems by incorporating built-in ORing Diodes/FETs.

Optional features include, independent TTL compatible alarm signalization for Over-voltage/ Over-current, Over-temperature protection & DC-OK; User adjustability of both output voltage and output current limit with external 0-5 V DC control voltage and independent analog signalization proportional to output voltage, output current and internal temperature.

Besides being EMC compliant to EN55022-Class B, they can withstand input surges, fast transients and conducted & radiated RF fields without any degradation in performance. The ZTR series are certified to EN 60950-1, 2nd Edition, safety requirements and carries the CE Mark. Harmonic correction meets the EN61000- 3-2 standard and the power supplies are backed by a three-year (3 yr) factory warranty
