Der Motoren- und Ventilatorenhersteller ZIEHL-ABEGG hat das Stuttgarter Bauunternehmen WOLFF & MÜLLER mit dem Bau eines neuen Produktionsgebäudes im Gewerbepark Hohenlohe beauftragt. Für 12,4 Millionen Euro übernimmt WOLFF & MÜLLER die schlüsselfertige Erstellung einschließlich Planungsleistungen. In dem Neubau werden künftig Ventilatoren produziert, die dank EC-Motoren (Electronical Commutation) sehr wenig Strom verbrauchen. Weil die Nachfrage nach dieser Technik weltweit steigt, will ZIEHL-ABEGG die Produktion erweitern und vom bisherigen Standort Künzelsau nach Kupferzell verlagern. Zugleich wird die Produktivität deutlich erhöht: Der Neubau soll „ein Vorzeigewerk für Industrie 4.0" werden, sagte Peter Fenkl, der Vorstandsvorsitzende von ZIEHL-ABEGG, beim offiziellen Spatenstich im November 2016.
